What is Colonic Hydrotherapy?

Colonic Hydrotherapy (or Colonic Irrigation as it is also known) is a warm internal bath that cleanses the colon of accumulated toxic waste matter.  It is The Ultimate Detox

If your body gets overloaded with toxins you can become prone to ill health.  Colonic Hydrotherapy assists your body in removing these toxins and will hydrate the bowel, essential for the absorption of all nutrients.

The health benefits of removing these toxins are as follows:

  •    exercises the Colon
  •     improved metabolism, giving you greater vitality
  •     healthier skin and hair and an improved immune system
  •     elimination of undigested foods giving you fewer headaches
  •     reduction of excess weight

Colonic Hydrotherapy can also help with symptoms such as:

Acne, Psoriasis & other skin problems, Anxiety, Depression & Irritability,  Arthritis, Bladder Infections, Bloated Stomach & Wind, Candida, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome,  Constipation, Fluid Retention, Food Allergies, Halitosis (Bad breath),  Headaches & Sinus problems, Haemorrhoids, Insomnia, Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS), Menstrual Problems, Weakened Immune System and Weight Problems.

How Does the Colon affect our Health?

The Colon or Large intestine forms the largest section of our digestive tract.  It carries out a number of vital functions including the completion of the digestive process, involving the absorption of water-soluble nutrients. The colon is a major part of our excretory system and is responsible for eliminating food and other waste products.

It also protects us from infection and disease. When we have an imbalance the Colon then becomes congested with stagnant waste, as a result of this, poisons are allowed to seep back into our system, resulting in ill-health. This process is called self-poisoning.

The Treatment

Your treatment lasts approximately 1 Hour, and at your first visit will involve taking a full medical history followed by an explanation of the procedure.  The equipment used is called “The Gravity Fed System”.  This allows the therapist the greatest control over the water pressure.

The Colonic Hydrotherapy itself lasts approximately 40 minutes. During this time warm purified water is gently introduced into the colon via the rectum. Special non-intrusive gentle massage techniques are used during the treatment to ensure the experience is as comfortable as possible. The water is only introduced at a low gravitational pressure so there is absolutely no danger of bowel perforation therefore making the treatment very safe

The warm water softens the stored matter in the colon and at the same time will cleanse the area of all faecal waste and deposits. All removed deposits are simply drained away. Herbal and/or pro-biotic additives may be added to enhance the treatment depending on need. A fresh towelling wrap is supplied to protect your modesty at all times and full toilet and cleansing facilities are adjacent to the treatment room.

How Many Treatments Will I Need?

How many treatments will vary from one client to another depending on what current problems you have.  This will be discussed at the initial visit but usually  one is sufficient unless more severe problems are diagnosed.  It is not our practice  to advise you to have more treatments than you need.

Maintenance Treatment is recommended every 6 months

How Will I Feel After Treatment?

As well as generally having a greater sense of cleanliness, most people feel energised, lighter and amazingly relaxed. There is no problem with returning to work immediately after the treatment – but a majority of people tend to take this opportunity to relax and unwind for the rest of the day.

It is recommended that a pro-biotic supplement is taken for two weeks following the treatment.  This and other supplements that may benefit you can be purchased from your therapist at a very reasonable price.

Preparation for the Treatment

It is recommended that during the 48 hours prior to your treatment you try to avoid carbonated drinks, caffeine, alcohol, red meat, dairy products and processed foods. Try to eat plenty of fresh fruit and vegetables and increase your water intake to approximately 2 litres a day.

On the day of your treatment, please eat a light meal to increase sugar levels, but try not to eat too much an hour before the treatment.

The cost of your Colonic Hydrotherapy treatment is £65.00 included in this price is Coffee enema and herbs ie: Detox, Relaxol or parasitic
